About:
This is an incomplete clone of the Sharp X68000 game "Cyberblock Metal Orange EX".

LibreMO is free software, licensed under version 3 (or any later version) of
the GNU General Public License.
Note: I might choose to relicense the project as GPLv2 in the future. If you

How to use:
1. Follow the instructions in the moexconv repository to extract all the graphics
from your copy of Cyberblock Metal Orange EX, but run moexconv with the -p option to
create pak files. Copy all the files from the out/ directory into the gfx/ directory
here.
2. Copy the "MO.STD" file from Disk A of Metal Orange EX to the gfx/ directory.
3. Download the PC-88 Cyberblock Metal Orange pack from VGMRips and unzip it to the music/
directory. Download "Opening (with SFX)" from the PC-98 Carat pack from VGMRips and save it
to the music/ directory. This step is optional, but without it the game will not have any
music.
4. Compile and run the program with "make run". It depends on SDL2 and SDL2-image, and a
C++20 compiler. Alternatively, you can compile with Visual Studio 2022 on Windows.
Controls are WSAD for movmement and J, K, Enter, and Esc for buttons. Note that a lot
of the time, I hardcode the game to start in the game playing state, so if you want it to
boot from the start you can change the state variable in main.cpp to STATE_LOGO.
Compilation note: Because Windows and Linux have different feature sets (Linux has better
C language debugging software, and Windows has X68000 emulators with debugging support),
I will flip-flop between them depending on what I'm doing. This might mean that at some
points, the Makefile will not have some files, and at other points the Visual Studio project
won't have some files. It should be easy enough to add the missing files to either of these
depending on what platform you use.
