Kelanni Edwards is sophomore here at the Hive. If you don’t know her by name, you might remember her by the amazing poems she writes and performs. She is a member of Women Empowered, vice president of African American Society, and is trying to reinstate a poetry club at Booker T. In her free time Kelanni enjoys writing poetry, drawing, volunteering with children at her church, and dominating the stage with her amazing voice. When asked what inspires her poems, she responded that she started writing as an outlet for pent up anger and frustration. When so many people felt that they could relate to her poetry and became emotional hearing it, she began writing to help others find their emotional outlet.
