#Masala Chai

Serves 1.

#Ingredients

  • 1 tsp loose black tea - something strong, like Assam or Ceylon.
  • 3 tsp sugar (or some honey)
  • 1/2 tsp masala spices (some combination of cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, star anise, and cloves)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk

#Method

  1. Bring saucepan of water to the boil.
  2. Add the tea.
  3. Boil for around 3 minutes.
  4. Add milk, sugar, and spices.
  5. Bring back to the boil.
  6. Strain and serve.
